Therapy is the process towards actively and intentionally working towards understanding yourself, your relationships, and your challenges in a better way; while also acknowledging cultural, social, environmental contexts that impact us all.

It is my goal to facilitate this process with respect and care. For some the process of change begins by first clearly defining the problem. Then by further discussing your thoughts and feelings, we can begin to understand the origin of your difficulties and develop news skills and healthy attitudes about yourself and others. Some of the many benefits to therapy include a reduction in feelings of distress, more satisfying relationships, increased clarity and resolution to specific problems.

Telehealth is video-based or telephone therapy. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform for your privacy. Because of a variety of life circumstances, the biggest barrier to therapy can be finding a qualified therapist close by. My goal is making therapy as accessible and convenient as possible for you.

For video conferencing you will need Wi-Fi and a mobile device or desktop. Telephone sessions are also an option.

Telehealth or Teletherapy may be a good option for you if:

  • you are concerned about your health during the pandemic
  • you have a tight schedule and don’t want to worry about commuting
  • you are homebound due to physical restrictions or a medical condition
  • you live in an area with fewer therapists

Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes, once a week, every other week, or as needed. 90 minute or Booster sessions are also available, depending on the presenting problems. This is so we can target what you are most concerned about and meet only when you need to. Payments are made prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • $150 for 50 minute sessions
  • $220 for 90 minutes sessions

At this time I only accept Sutter EAP (Employee Assistance Program) benefits. If you would like to use your insurance, I can link you to a free service that will help you understand and use your insurance benefits.

Please remember that appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, will either be counted as one of your EAP benefits or you will be charged for the missed appointment.
